This week on Balance we’re looking back at some of the amazing authors and editors that we’ve interviewed. Many of them didn’t set out to be authors, but have managed to pen books along their career journeys. We finish the week with today’s special guest Naomi Simson featuring her interview with Deborah to discuss her book “Live What You Love“.
In 2001 Naomi Simson invested $25,000 to begin an online experience gift company called RedBalloon which she ran out of her house. Today she is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country, has released several books and appears on the popular Network Ten program Shark Tank.
She won the 2008 national Telstra Business Womens Awards for Innovation. Her company RedBalloon was voted as one of Australia’s Best Places to Work by BRW 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. She has also been selected as a LinkedIn Influencer (now with more than 750,000 subscribers).
In the above interview, Naomi talks about how a request to write a blog led to her churning out 30,000 words on the topic of ‘advice to my younger self’…which inevitably led to the creation of her bestselling new book Live What You Love.
Setting yourself homework…
