I have read books on manifesting, watched documentaries, created vision boards, written lists, visualised, and even prayed in an attempt to perfect the technique of working with this universal law that governs the response to my desires.
At times I have been surprised by how quickly and accurately this process has worked yet other times, I have had zero response regardless of the vigour and intention I poured into the practice. This ‘hit and miss’ outcome motivated me to want to know more about the law of attraction. Who discovered it? Where? When? And how does it really work?
While researching the pioneers of the ‘New Thought Movement’ of the 1900’s, I came across a small book titled ‘Prosperity Through Thought Force’ written by Bruce McLelland in 1907. Bruce was not doing so well in his life. He suffered ill health, lived in poverty, had a shitty poor paying job, no friends, and was generally disheartened with how things were panning out for him.
He looked around at successful people in an effort to discern what was different about them and what they had that he didn’t. He noticed that the people who seemed to have it all going on had two things in common: (1) strength of character and (2) the ability to control their thoughts. Bruce decided to ‘experiment’ on himself and while transforming his life; he became a better person in the process.
Needless to say, this approach worked for Bruce; he started seeing results almost immediately and without much effort, changed his whole life along with the balance of his bank account at the same time. I can say for certain that if you change yourself, you change your entire world. This being said, although Bruce explained some things in his book, there were many things that he himself said had been ‘omitted’. After reading this admission, it all became very clear that this was my ‘cue’ to fill in the missing pieces; create the ‘recipe’ that was needed to be able to manifest with accuracy, decisiveness, and certainty. I drew upon my every resource calling in my background in fitness, my study of chakras, archetypes, holistic counselling, and even my diploma in art.
I quickly discovered that ‘manifesting’ was not enough in itself. In order to manifest with precision, you need to ‘Holifest’ – abbreviated from ‘holistic’ ‘manifest’. Manifesting requires a holistic approach calling upon the creativity of your mind, the courage of your heart, and the confidence of your soul. Holifest is the only true way to manifest what you most need and want in your life. I have written for you an easy to follow recipe that calls for two simple ingredients – (1) ‘Strength of character’ (as discovered by Bruce and expanded by me into the development of twenty-one specially selected ‘virtues’ that you already possess) and (2) ‘Knowledge of self’ – holistically discovering who you are – mind, body, and soul.
