Lisa Wilkinson and the power of a photo

When TV host Lisa Wilkinson was asked to come up with a photography project as part of her role as a Canon Ambassador – she knew exactly what story she wanted to tell through the power a photo.

“I wanted to highlight the beauty and strength of women…and I wanted to do it with a photo of a breast cancer survivor,” she said.

Lisa explains, in this interview with Deborah, how she came to meet a woman called Marina – a woman who has chosen not to have breast reconstructive surgery after a double-mastectomy.
