What it means to be 50

Author of The 50 Book,  Jennifer Blau is an award-winning photographer. With a Masters Degree in Documentary Photography from Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Media and Communication, Jennifer has wowed the world with her photography and approach to portraits for many years.

Her recent exhibitions The Unseen: The Face of Homelessness and After Midnight: The Face of Fifty are no exception. Jennifer uses her photography to explore the identity of people from all walks of life and now she is using her camera to capture what it means to be 50.

Based on 50 words used by women to describe what it’s like to be 50, this book is a collection of insightful profiles that document issues that matter to women as they age and continue living their best life. 

Jennifer has worked in the publishing industry specialising in illustrative books  for more than 20 years. She is a proud mother of two and lives in Sydney.

    Agree with Jennifer that the media has a lot to answer for in how they present the woman over 50. Just ordered the book and cant wait for it to arrive.
