“I would take any training that was offered, any course that was available, I would bring in anyone from Feng Shui to psychiatrist and psychologists into the office environment. I think the thing about it is you have to keep saying there are new and more wonderful things to do.”

“I have watched so many mediocre men put their hand up and say ‘I can do that’ or  ‘I can lead that team’ when I know they don’t have the skills to do it. Whereas women sit there and say to themselves ‘Oh, I’ll just let him do it’. We need to get to know our own strengths and then start pitching ourselves for the job,” she said.

Robyn says the key to her success in business has been her ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to keep trying new things.

“When my father was alive he used to ask me, ‘Do you ever think you’ll settle down and just have one thing that you focus on?’ and I’d always say ‘NEVER!’ I’m constantly looking for the next project. That’s just the kind of person I am,” she said.
