In my chat this week with Natalie Bassingthwaighte the saying, “If you want something done, give it to a busy person” kept going through my mind! So, I just had to ask her how with 2 small children and such a busy performing career, did she manage to start a new business in an area she knew nothing about. And, how on earth does she manage to stay in control?
In today’s clip Natalie explains the reward of seeing her vision for Chi Khi children’s clothing label come to life and how her drive and passion for design led her to self-educate and not be afraid to ask for help. Lessons we can all learn when we want to take that leap of faith into the great unknown of starting up a new business.
Loved hearing Natalie’s pragmatic approach for achieving balance in her hectic work and family life – listen here for how she makes it happen!
I’m always interested in the different ways people give back to others. Natalie’s desire was to do more than just donate to a worthy cause, so she discovered an established project – Indego Africa. This initiative empowers women in Rwanda, by teaching them the business skills necessary to run their own businesses. Just like Natalie did with Chi Khi!
