How to make your Airbnb guests feel at home

December 23, 2016 by Balance Team

With over 130 glowing reviews and a 4.5-star rating, Airbnb guests to Primrose’s Double Bay property are happy little customers.

Not only do they love the waterfront location, they are also big fans of their host and how she creates a memorable welcome for weary travellers.

In this clip, Deborah asks Primrose about the sorts of services she offers to help guests transition into their holiday and feel welcome in her home.

“Basically I try to make it as easy as possible,” said Primrose.

First up, Primrose offers a glass of wine for guests – something they can enjoy while taking in the breathtaking quintessential Sydney harbour views.

Many travellers arrive jetlagged, so Primrose also offers late night and early morning airport pickup services and provides them with local travel cards to make navigating the city a breeze.

“Sometimes if I’m around I’ll take them for a walk around the area or take them for a drive,” she said.

“I think what they like is that I’m a Sydney local and I offer suggestions on things to do,” said Primrose.

Currently, couples aged 40 – 80-year-old are Primrose’s major clientele taking a shine to her engaging personality and her willingness to make guests feel at home while showing them as much of the local culture as possible.

Confidence

This article originally appeared in Virgin Voyeur Magazine. I believe we all have capabilities beyond what we give ourselves credit, so why do we often mark ourselves down in the company of others who we perceive as being smarter and more successful than us? Perhaps it’s just human nature but where does our self-doubt stem […]
