In the next video, Georgie Gardner talks to Deborah about her greatest strengths, goals for the future, passion for news reading and finding the one in husband Tim Baker.
In terms of strengths: “I think it’s authenticity (and) hopefully integrity. They’re things really matter to me,” said Georgie.
“I am who I am, flaws and all,” she said.
When questioned about her goals for the future, Georgie discusses her continued love of television and news reading, the potential of returning to radio and her desire to connect with audiences through positive uplifting stories.
“There are few things I’ve got in the back of my mind,” said Georgie.
“But my passion is definitely news reading. I love it,” says Georgie.
“I really enjoy it and I never lose sight of the privilege of being able to do it,” said Georgie.
Next Deborah moves onto the subject of love and marriage and asks Georgie how she met her husband Tim Baker and how she knew he was going to “the one”.
After meeting at a mutual friend’s 30th birthday party in Sydney, Tim soon invited Georgie to a dinner party at his house. Greeting her at the door in bare feet with a pet dingo by his side, Georgie explains how she liked the fact that he was very “real and grounded”.
“I just knew Deb, I’d been out with some lovely guys, a few losers along the way as well.” “Obviously, there was a chemistry, but there was just a meeting of the minds,” said Georgie.
“He’s just a genuinely decent, lovely, kind, wickedly fun guy and I feel incredibly lucky that I met him because he’s really good for me,” said Georgie.
