Easter’s a time for unwrapping the new gifts of life

By

The spiritual symbol for Easter is the humble egg. Whether religion is part of your life or not, this time of year can hold so many opportunities to bask in the freshness of how new life unfolds all around us.

When we connect with the energy or feel the space of new life, we are reminded of the presence of hope. When we are connected with hope then we will see opportunities everywhere. Opportunities for beauty, opportunities for appreciation and opportunities for renewal, change and transformation.

I love opportunities as they offer a chance to bring something wonderful into your life. At this time of the year – the symbolism of new life invites us to consider what areas require some more joie de vivre?

Where do you need to find some hope right now? Where would you like to inject a sense of new life?

Most of us will enjoy several days away from our work and daily routine over the Easter holidays. For many this will be spent sharing time with family and friends.  As you enjoy this time of relaxation and freedom from your busy schedule, take the opportunity to slow down and in a state of kindness and compassion, take a little step back.

Can you see the areas in need of a little revamp? Listen to your body, mind and soul – they will tell you what needs your attention.

When I ask my clients to do this, they always come up with some interesting answers. I thought I would share some of these with you.*

Julie: “For me it’s relationships. I know my husband and I need to give our marriage some new life. We are in a rut and it is time to do something about it.”

Margaret: “For ever so long now I have been neglecting my health. It is time to get to the doctor and have a physical review and maybe change my diet.”

Mark: “I’ve always wanted to explore different religions and cultures. I feel ready now and I really want to give my spirituality some of my attention.”

Gail: “If I am honest, I have not felt happy for as long as I can remember. I feel dull more than happy. I want to give my life, new life.”

As you enjoy the Easter holidays consider what the symbolism of new life means to you? Most importantly what does it mean in your everyday life?

As you discover what needs your attention, just note it down and gently each day, take some steps toward change and enjoy the experience of giving your life a feeling of renewal, hope and magnificent opportunities.

Happy Easter, enjoy and travel safe.
