With her change in work schedule and revised focus on her children, Georgie Gardner has been able to find time for herself and bring a new sense of balance into her life. In this interview with Deborah, Georgie discusses her two new passions, the puppy and learning the piano and how she is staying healthy.
“We bought a dog, a puppy. So I’m now down at the dog park twice a day with that puppy,” said Georgie.
“I had no idea how much I’d love it,” she said. “My whole world has just opened up to this whole dog world,” said Georgie.
The other past time that Georgie has been able to focus on is her love of music and playing the piano.
“I did a lot of music as a child and then completely put it to bed, and I thought, you know what, that is something I really want to take up again,” said Georgie.
“What I love about it, is that it’s something completely for me,” she said.
When asked about her routine on staying healthy, Georgie admits to being “a bit lax” but tries to keep active and eat as cleanly as possible in moderation.
“I’m certainly in the green juice brigade, which isn’t hard, I love that as my start to the day,” said Georgie.
Georgie is an ex-runner but gave it up after damaging her ankle so she is now unable to do anything too high impact.
“I should do more! The dog is my whole new exercise regime,” she said.
“I just try and keep moving and I’m fairly sensible with my diet,” said Georgie.
Georgie admits to loving a wine and her daily chocolate fix but knows her body and what she needs to do to maintain a level of health.
“Life’s short, let’s live it, let’s enjoy,” she said.
