Courage

COURAGE is what it takes us to stand up and speak up, however it also takes great COURAGE for some of us to slow down, surrender to receiving love and just be quiet.

When we react with fear in our life it is like we choose to hold our breath. We lose our personal power and we go backwards retreating from possible growth in our life.

Love however as our alternative response, is as reliable as oxygen. It will mobilize us, taking us forward as it activates our heart. When we are afraid if we allow our heart to call for love, even if we are by ourselves at the time it will come. Like a gentle butterfly if we are patient enough to be still, quiet and gentle with ourselves.

In French this ‘cry of the heart’ calling for love to open us up so we can move from fear to love is called …

“cri du coeur”

In English we call it .. ‘COURAGE’.

With COURAGE we can shift emotional gears from reacting in fear to responding with love in order to honour our hearts truth not deny it. It’s a gutsy move! When we remember this, we can exhale our fear and inhale deeply on love reconnecting with life.

So let’s remember today the word ‘evil’ is simply the word ‘live’ spelled backwards. Fear gears our life into reverse, no growth, no change boring as bats shit in other words. Without willingness to be open to COURAGE we remain malnourished of abundance.

I often play my own personal “love reel” if my heart gets too heavy with fear. I bring up visuals of my gorgeous sons faces smiling at me, my darling hubby kissing me, a gentle sparrow, a white tiger, a creamy gardenia or any other heart snapshot that makes my heart smile as soon as I imagine it. These beautiful images remind me to be grateful, not give up on myself and find some threads of courage to help pull me out of my slump.

Do you have your own “love reel”? If not, why not create one to gift yourself with when your heart needs to remember love, beauty and hope.

The key to accessing our COURAGE is in pausing so we can feel love gently guiding us intuitively.

COURAGE sometimes means shutting up, sometimes it means waiting, feeling, and in other moments it requires we stand up and speak up.

So instead of reversing and reacting in fear let’s deliberately pause and allow our heart to change gears from fear to love. As we access our COURAGE in the present moment, instead of going backwards, we will make healthy progress.
