Confusion

CONFUSION and clarity leapfrog through our lives, each as important as the other.

It’s often only when we get so bloody CONFUSED by ourselves or other people, places and things that we will stop and pause and ask that all important question …

“What the fuck?”

For those of us seeking to improve our Emotional Fitness as we age the unbreakable healthy bond between CONFUSION and clarity becomes one we’ve gotta honour. Not fight.

I have come to learn that when I am at my most befuddled and CONFUSED that it means I am simply sorting out junk mail from important mail in my hearts “inbox”.

Sometimes our internal world just gets too full because I have become a little emotionally lazy. It happens to us all. Life can get hectic trying to take it all in.

So if we lapse in emotional self care focusing on being everything to everyone, with one foot in cleaning up yesterday’s overwhelm and the other in anxiety for what tomorrow will bring guess who will come to visit? Yep our ol’ mate CONFUSION.

Like a loving mother that draws the line in the sand explaining that there will be no more play until our rooms are tidy, I believe Mother Nature disciplines us too by parenting us with the consequence of CONFUSION. Until we become willing to stop and attend to our emotional inbox clogged with both crap and essential information she grounds us in CONFUSION.If we climb out the window and shirk our responsibility avoiding the reality of our CONFUSION, the consequences when we return become more demanding. For those of us that do not return to our hearts clogged inbox we become destined to live a heartless life at the mercy of our insatiable and chaotic ego.

So let’s review this healthy word CONFUSION remembering its reward is clarity when we stop and pay attention and do our emotional homework that is probably overdue. We will be gifted with the calm relief clarity brings as we file and delete yesterdays emotional mail.

CONFUSION is our alarm that it’s time to clear out our emotional clutter, it is a dear friend to our heart therefore is not wrong, but necessary to our growth.

CONFUSION is just Mother Nature opening our hearts bedroom door lovingly reminding us it’s time to pause, open up, clean up, grow up and after our work is done, to live it up!
